Friday, 16th May 2025 – this day marks 16 years since I purchased my first copy of the 3D Content Creation Software, Modo. It’s my 16th Modoversary! In order to celebrate that, I have published my latest project – made entirely in Modo 17.1.

Though it may be that Modo is no longer in active development, I still love to use it in my day-to-day creative workflows.
It’s still as good today as it was when it was discontinued at the end of last year (at least for the moment & on the current platforms and hardware).
If anyone else is still using Modo on a regular basis, please keep creating and sharing.
My thoughts are with of all the persistent and devoted Modonauts out there, both past and present.
Every render starts with a black screen. It’s not until all those optimistic little individual pixels start gathering together that you start to see the image that you imagined and wanted.
Like that render, whatever comes next, will come in time.
